Description

This is an antique Kashgai carpet from South West Persia which dates from around 1900. The carpet has a central lozenge design and a pleasing colour palette featuring coral, indigo, mid blue and a golden yellow. This is quite finely woven and has a lot of detail including many stylised animals and figures. The carpet has deep borders and fringed ends. It is in very good order overall with complete selvedges and ends. The carpet has lots of character and a great antique look to it. It is a good size, measuring 248 cms by 176 cms.
