Description

This is a really pretty French overmantel mirror with a good arched shape to the ornate crest. The mirror retains its original water gilded finish which has an attractive colour to the gilding and is nicely rubbed back in places with a lovely red oxide glow. This also has its original plate glass mirror in super condition with little or no marks or blemishes to the glass.

The mirror dates from around 1870 and has lovey proportions measuring 148 cms by 92 cms wide at the top and 96 cms wide at the bottom.
