Description

This is a very pretty Victorian clock garniture of lovely neat proportions dating from around 1860. The mantle set is in lovely clean condition and the ormolu is of the best quality, with really good crisp detail. The clock has a good French movement that runs for 8 days and strikes a lovely gentle tone on a bell on the hour and half hour. The pretty painted dial is decorated with floral garlands to the enamel with painted Roman numerals and the retailer S. Bentejar of Bordeaux. The clock has a portico design with attractive visible sunburst design pendulum that can be seen swinging between the white marble columns.
This is a nice size with the clock measuring 35 cms high 18 cms wide by 10 cms deep. The candelabra side ornaments are 14 cms high by 16 in width.
