Description

This is a good quality four draw Victorian period telescope in brass and mahogany by the renowned maunfacturer H. M. Newton of Halifax.
The telescope is in excellent order and has an unusual feature in that it has the standard three draw mechanism rearward from the mahogany but also a further fourth inner extension is possible forward from the front of the instrument. Fully extended this opens to in 3 feet (90 cms ) in length. Folded up this is 1 foot (32 cms ) long by in 2and a quarter inches diameter ( 5.5 cms). The lenses and lens covers are all working and are in excellent condition.
