Description
This is a fine antique Jozan carpet which dates from around 1900. The carpet has a nicely subdued colour palette and some pleasingly fine detail to the design. The central stepped pole medallion is filled with colourful boteh, it has a densely decorated dark indigo Herati field enclosed by warm red spandrels and borders featuring ice blue and lemon.This measures 210 cms by 129 cms. The carpet has some even wear, complete selvedges and a little wear to the fringes.
