Description

This is a very attractive French boullework mantel clock dating from the mid 19th century, circa 1850 in super order. The clock case has a delightful rich red colour with beautiful polished brass detail and ormolu mounts. The enamelled dial has Roman numerals and polished steel hands and a visible escapement which is a lovely feature showing the moving mechanism as the clock runs. The movement has been fully restored by our horologist and runs beautifully for 8 days keeping good time. The case measures 36 cms high to the top of the ormolu finial and is 23 wide by 13 deep at the base, (widest point).
