Description

This is a truly stunning 19th century gilt overmantle mirror in the traditional French style. The frame is very decorative with a ribbon tied trophy crest over a central oval plate surrounded by 4 other shaped margin mirrors with stylised leaves and beaded border. The mirrors all have their original bevelled glass in nice clean condition. The mirror retains its original gilding which is atrractively rubbed back in some areas giving a lovely warm patination. This is in excellent original order.
The mirror is an impressive size measuring 131cm high and 85cm wide.
