Description

This is a very attractive table clock of some scale, with beautiful Aesthetic period design, which dates from around 1890. The ebonised clock case stands some 48 cms high and it has wonderful hand painted and gilded floral panels with birds and blossom to the front and the sides, very much in the Japanese Aesthetic taste. It has a most attractive 5 and 1/2 inch engraved brass face with red Arabic numerals and twin barrel movement striking on a gong. The clock is in excellent condition, it has been recently overhauled by our horologist and keeps good time. This measures 48 cms high by 31 cms wide and 20 cms deep.
