Description

This is a really pretty grandmother clock with a lovely royal blue lacquered case decorated with hand painted and gilded Chinese chinoiserie figures and scenes. The case has an unusual and attractive shape and neat proportions. The clock movement has been fully overhauled and serviced (April 2018) by our horologist and keeps good time running for eight days. This has a Westminster chimes movement so strikes a delightful melody on the quarter, half hour, quarter to and on the hour every hour. The enamelling is a real delight, in strong and vibrant colours with stunning hand gilded detail in crisp clean condition. The clock is in excellent order and is a classic 1920s / 30s piece that is really hard to find in such beautiful original order.

The measurements are 128 cms high 28 cms wide by 18 cms deep.
