Description

This is an attractive large Victorian overmantle mirror with its original gilt finish, dating from around 1880. The mirror is a good useful size with nice proportions and is in very good original order. This has its original mercury glass which is in nice aged condition with a good antiqued look to the plate. The back boards are the originals and the frame is in good sound order with the original gilding attractively rubbed back in places showing the iron red, glowing through. The mirror is a great size that would suit many situations measuring 153 cms high by 102 cms wide.
