Description

This is a late 19th century rosewood wall clock with good quality fusee movement. The clock is by E. Lenton of Clapham and has its original painted roman dial. The case is beautifully inlaid with mother of pearl, there are some old repairs to the veneered edge at the left and right centre where the mother of pearl has been overpainted which looks fine and is just part of the age of the piece. The rosewood has a good rich colour and good patina. The single fusee movement has been recently overhauled and keeps excellent time. This has its original key and pendulum and measures 42 cms in diameter by 15 cms deep.
