Antique Shirvan Carpet

Description
This is a very nice example of an antique Shirvan carpet from the South East Caucasus which dates from around 1900. It has a very pleasing lattice design of stylised plants on an indigo field. Its warm terracotta borders are very pretty with polychrome hooked devices held within narrow parasol motif guard stripes. The carpet is in excellent condition with an even pile and complete ends and selvedges.It measures 242 cms by 145 cms.UK delivery is £20.
