Description

This handsome George III longcase clock is a lovely example in beautiful condition. The 30 hour movement is by W. Hutchinson of Retford and is signed on the attractive circular painted dial. The clock is in excellent working order with the movement having been fully overhauled recently and strikes on a bell on the hour. The solid oak case is inlaid with a decorative satinwood conch shell to the door and base. The hood is adorned with its original turned giltwood spired balls which have a beautiful soft gilding. The case is in excellent condition and is raised on its original bracket feet to the base.
This clock has lovely proportions measuring 86" in height 21" inches wide 11" deep.
