Description

This is a good quality Heriz runner carpet from Iranian Azerbaijan which dates from the early 20th century. The carpet has an attractive colour palette with four warm madder red stepped medallions set within a rich deep blue field and enclosed by pretty narrow borders. It is a really useful size measuring 337 cms by 90 cms and is in excellent order with both ends complete and a deep even pile.
