Description

A superb antique English solid silver Bombe shaped tea caddy, beautifully decorated on all four sides and standing on four very elegant legs.

The silver is fully hallmarked on both the underside and the lid for Sheffield 1896, making this a true antique example from the Victorian era. The makers mark is also present for the well renowned silversmith, Lee & Wigfull Ltd ( Henry Wigfull ) Highfield, Sheffield.

The caddy remains in superb condition measuring 3 3/4" wide x 2 3/4" deep x 5 1/8" tall to top of finial. A good gauge of silver and a good weight, 208.3 Grams or 6.70 Troy Ounces.
