Description

A rare example of a Mauro Manetti designed ice bucket in the form of an apple, one of the scarcer models and in good condition.

Made by "Fonderia d'Arte it is fully marked on the underside M/M for Mauro Manetti and "Made In Italy"

This silver plated apple has a good natural patina and retains the original metal interior to both the base and lid measuring 6 1/4" in diameter x 7 1/2" tall to top of lid.

Mauro Manetti is considered one of the most important Italian designers of his generation, with an innovative and creative approach to design.

Throughout his career, Mauro Manetti has won numerous prestigious awards for his creations, including the Compasso d'Oro in 1987 and 1994. His work is exhibited in museums around the world, including MoMA in New York, the Centre Pompidou in Paris and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
