Description

An absolutely charming desk-top pen tray made from solid Italian silver (800/1000) in Venice by Rossi & Arcandi in the late 1960's.

A wonderful subject, the tray is has the front with the front of two Dacshunds and the back with the back of the two dogs quite beautiful.

The silver is marked 800 and VI for Vincenza and the registered number 266 identifies the maker as Rossi & Arcandi during the late 1960's.

I have lightly cleaned, the build-up of patina to the dogs heads hasn't been over-cleaned as it creates a more realistic three dimensional figure.

Superb condition measuring 11 1/2" in length x 1 3/4" x 1 5/8" tall and weighing 139.2 grams / 4 4.48 Troy Ounces.

Rossi & Arcandi silverware was created in 1959 when Romano Rossi and Severino Arcandi decided to start a new journey in the world of silver. After a period of apprenticeship at one of the most famous silversmiths in Vicenza, they chose to open their own business. The family company have been famous for quality handmade silver pieces using tradition methods.
