Description

A beautiful example of an English Edwardian biscuit box or barrel, made from hand-cut glass and silver plated fittings.

The tall handle moved downwards opens the hinged lid, the underside marked "Patent Applied For".

The back of the collar mount is where the maker's mark can be found for ARTHUR & JOHN ZIMMERMAN or Birmingham together with EPNS for Electro-Plated Nickel Silver.

Beautiful condition standing 11 1/4" tall to top of handle with a maximum body diameter measuring 5 3/4".
