Unusual Austro Hungarian Jewelled Box - Drum

Description
A most unusual late nineteenth century novelty box in the form of a drum made from gilded brass inset with a selection of faux cabochon Turquoise, Opals and Garnets.The handles of the two drumsticks drape over the side of the drum and with the thumb opens the hinged lid.
Dating to c.1890 / 1900 it remains in excellent antique condition measuring 3 1/2" x 3" x 2 1/4" tall.
