Description

A most unusual late 19th century / early 20th century French Ormolu picture frame made from Bronze and lavishly decorated with gold, having been professionally restored to it's former glory.

The floating glass front protects the grey/blue silk taffeta and the intricate gilded mount set with paste stones surrounding an oval aperture to accommodate a photograph measuring 2 3/4" x 1 7/8".

The frame stands on a folding easel stand. Dating to c.1900, it remains in superb condition with an overall measurement of 7 7/8" x 5 7/8" with the rectangular glass front measuring 6" x 5 1/8". A true gem.
