Description

A wonderful pair of locking decanters / tantalus, dating to around 1920. The locking frame is made from silver plate and is full marked for Electro-Plated Nickel Silver together with the makers mark for the silversmith, CHARLES S. GREEN & CO.

The lock comes complete with a working tasselled key, which when turned allows the top to be lifted and turned to enable the decanters to be removed. When finished the top is returned and the lock clicks shut, locking the decanters away.

The two hefty decanters are made from English crystal, beautifully hand-cut with large Sunflowers.

Excellent condition, measuring 8 1/4" wide x 4" x 14" high.
