Antique original British 19th Century Victorian watercolour painting.

There is a hand written note on the back that reads (we think) 'In the Meadows, Bromley Hill, April 6 & 7 1892, fine but cold wind'. If anyone can identify/confirm the location, we would be very pleased to hear from them.

We believe that this is the same location as paintings 6003, 6006 & 6007 .

We think that this painting is very well executed and from a skilled artist.

This is one of around 20 paintings that we believe come from the same artist. A couple of them are marked with the name BA Whitworth, but we have not been able to find out anything about the artist.

Only slight yellowing (as you would expect). A little wear to the edges from being handled and the odd tiny spec or mark, but free from any major defects. The painting does not appear to have been ever mounted or framed.
