Description

Late 18th century oak Bureau Bookcase in 2 sections. The enclosed bookcase has adjustable shelves. The flat panelled doors feature contrasting woods, lighter oak panels edged with dark ebony inlay. Below, a classic bureau sits on bracket feet. The sloping fall front opens onto a writing desk with drawers, arched niches and secret spaces. In clean and good condition, it has an excellent waxed surface, a warm oak colour and neat proportions. Circa 1800
