18th century single compartment mahogany Cheese Coaster. This boat shaped piece of table treen was designed to hold a round of cheese and pushed up and down the dining table. A small degree of cracking to the bent wood of the interior is not unusual, but the general condition of this piece is excellent, with original brass casters. Circa 1780Width: 40.5cm (16")
