Description
Early 18th century panelled back Oak Wainscot Armchair of substantial proportions. The high back has a boldly shaped top rail. Pegged construction throughout keeps this heavy antique chair in firm sturdy condition. An interesting under seat strengthening, with a wooden lath and metal bracket, appears original. The feet have been built up to the lower rails, otherwise the condition is original, with an excellent waxed patina. Circa 1720Height: 118cm
