Description

6 elegant late 19th century dining chairs. Although a matched set of 4 single chairs with 2 similar armchairs, they have obviously been together for a long time. They are made from a hard country wood such as birch, then veneered with burr oak. The tapered front legs on the single chairs are plain with a tuned ring, and the armchairs are fluted. Caning to the beautifully shaped backs and seats is original and in fine condition. The seats do need cushions for continued protection. French, circa 1880
