Early 18th Century Oak Settle

Description

An attractive oak settle from the early 18th century. It has a 5 panelled back and turned front supports. the seat bed is roped (re-newed) upon which sits an upholstered seat pad. The strength and durability of oak of this period is seen in the excellent condition of this piece. The surface is original with warm colour. Apart from the replaced rope seat, the feet have been built up about 1 1/2 inches. Circa 1720.
