19th century brass and mesh 3-fold Fire Guard. This spark guard is of unusual and elegant design, the brass mesh used effectively to enhance and decorate. It was originally plated with copper over the brass tiny remnants of copper remain visible. The quality of this guard is excellent, with no breaks in the mesh.DateLate 19th Century :
