Description
Circular antique board game with marbles. The mahogany board holds marbles for the game of solitaire, with a channel around the edge for holding the discarded marbles. It is painted for the additional partner game of Fox and Geese, an antique game that goes back to at least the 15th century the rules are pasted to the underside of the board.The marbles are made of clay. The set contains a spare marlbe, as the game of solitaire requires the centre hole to be empty. Circa 1880
