Description

A complete boxed early 20th century croquet game by Slazenger Ltd London. The 4 mallets are all of the same period but 2, with hickory handles, are shorter than the other pair. The heads are of lignum vitae, heavy and durable despite damage due to years of use, they are still sturdy.
The pine box, with iron carrying handles, contains all the items for the game: 6 metal hoops,2 start/finish posts, a wooden hammer, 4 coloured wooden balls, 4 coloured metal clips. An excellent quality vintage outdoor game. Circa 1920
