Description

A particularly attractive 6 plank Oak Coffer from the 17th century. The simple plank design, small size and good proportions easily enhances any style of room.
The front is carved with typical designs of the period, semi-circular lunettes with leaves and flowers. The feet, cut out of the side planks, are lovely and high (wear and rot often shortens these feet) The iron pin hinges are also intact. With a great surface and a rich colour, this little coffer/chest is in fine condition. Circa 1680
