Description
A sturdy set of early 19th century spindle back side chairs in ash. Typical of the Lancashire/Cheshire chairmakers, they have 2 rows of spindles in the back. Apart from the lower back legs, which are square, the rest of the chair is turned, with a decorative turned stretcher between the front legs.It is rare to find a true set of these chairs, but these 4 are
very close. They have been re-rushed, so are ready to continue giving good service into the future. Circa 1820
