Description

We have for sale a very attractive blue and white early 1st period Worcester porcelain mug dating to around 1758.

This lovely large Worcester mug is of a typical slightly canted cylindrical tankard form and decorated in blue and white with the Mansfield pattern. The base is marked to the inside of the foot rim with the rather rare early Worcester XX like W over an inverted W mark in which the ascending arm of the right hand X is elongated when compared with the rest of the mark.

The mug is 4.75 inches (12cm) high and is in an excellent condition with no chips or repairs.
