We have for sale a lovely Swansea dessert plate moulded in the Nantgarw style c1815. A similar Nantgarw style moulded Swansea plate is illustrated (Illustration No 34) in Swansea Porcelain by WD John.

This very attractive Swansea moulded duck egg porcelain dessert plate is decorated gilt and vibrant polychrom enamels with a central bouquet of flowers surrounded by c-shaped gilded scrolls and a further 6 bouquets of flowers to the rim.

The plate is is 81⁄4 inches (21cm) in diameter and is in an excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs.

This superb Swansea porcelain dessert dish is currently being exhibited as part of the selling exhibition of rare Derby, Pinxton, Nantgarw and Swansea porcelain "A journey with William Billingsley" 2016, ISBN: 9783741809903.
