We have for sale a rare Nantgarw style Swansea moulded dessert plate c1815.This lovely duck-egg porcelain dessert plate is moulded in the Nantgarw manner and was decorated by William Pollard with five vignettes depicting birds to the rim around a central gilded octagonal floral motif.
The dish is 8 inches (20.3cm) in diameter and is in a very good to excellent condition, but there is some wear to the gilding.
This superb Swansea porcelain dessert dish is currently being exhibited as part of the selling exhibition of rare Derby, Pinxton, Nantgarw and Swansea porcelain "A journey with William Billingsley" 2016, ISBN: 9783741809903.
