Billingsley Decorated Nantgarw Dessert Plate c1815

Description
We have for sale a Regency Nantgarw plate c1815, the decoration of which has been attributed to William Billingsley by WD John.The plate is unusually decorated with a gilt border surrounding an array of copper beech leaves. The base carries the impressed Nantgarw and CW marks.
The plate is 81⁄2 inches (21.6cm)and is in a good condition with no chips cracks or repairs, but there is wear to the gilding.
This Nantgarw dessert plate is currently being exhibited as part of the selling exhibition of rare Derby, Pinxton, Nantgarw and Swansea porcelain "A journey with William Billingsley" 2016, ISBN: 9783741809903
