Lovely mid 19th Century Turners Chair in fabulous condition for its age with a great Patina.This beautiful hand crafted Chair made of solid Oak has a linear and sculptural feel about it, with chip carving and geometric incised patterns to the top rail along with bobbin turned angled arms.
There is a carved shield shaped crest across the front of the chair below the seat.
Three legged chairs originate from medieval times as they were more suited to uneven floors as they would not wobble
