A stunning Country House Regency and of the period cast brass and iron Lion and Serpent doorstop. C.1830. In a fabulous polished patina which only years of polishing can achieve. Large in size at 17 1/2" tall. The serpents rising to form the handle of the doorstop. One historical blacksmith repair to the rear of the upright (see pic 4). Has been done the correct way and cannot be seen from the front. Good weight at 3.3 kilos.
