A fine early 19th century French treen snuff box carved in the shape of a shoe. Ornately decorated with brass pique work creating an elaborate pattern across the top and sole. The hinged lid has a snug fit which opens and closes smoothly. This unusual shoe is in good condition with a beautiful patina.A charming decorative piece that would make a great addition to any snuff box collection.
