Victorian Ladies Skirt Lifter / Hem Grip

This is a superb Victorian ladies skirt lifter/hem grip which is made of brass and has padded, decorated fixtures. Manufactured by Plant & Green and dated 1878.The grip was attached to the hem of a dress and the clip to the waistband. This unusual item would make a fine addition to any collection.
The grip measures approx. 5 inches in length
