Large 17th-century religious painting. Oil on canvas artwork depicting a splendid Holy Family in a domestic interior. The Madonna is seated in the center, holding a book, absorbed in reading. The baby Jesus stands before her, clinging affectionately to her mother's hand.

On the right, Saint Joseph is captured in a moment of repose, dozing with his head bowed. Joseph's sleep symbolizes contemplation and trust in God's plan, which often manifests itself in the form of a dream. On the left, a lit candle introduces another symbolic element: Christ is the light of the world. Finally, the basket of white linens glimpsed below is not merely a domestic detail but a reference to the purity of the Virgin. This painting, with its intimate and intimate composition, is of great pictorial quality and can be traced back to the coveted Italian center of the first half of the 17th century.
