This is a very widespread iconography since the 17th century in private devotional contexts. Small size painting, for antique dealers and collectors of ancient sacred art. Beautifully decorated 20th century carved and gilded frame. Painting characterized by good brightness, Mary is represented in an oval, penitent, with her hands gathered towards her chest. Artwork that has undergone conservative restoration with color recovery in some places (see photo). In good condition. Sight size H 42.5 x W 30 cm.
