Description

A Victorian tortoise shell toothpick holder with silver pique decoration to the top and parcel gilt clasp and fittings. The silver cartouche to the lid bears the initials "FM". There is a scratched initial "J" to the inside of the lid and a "B" to the inside of the base.
Dimensions: 8cm long, 2.2 cm wide, 1.25 cm deep.
Condition is good. There is some light surface scratching commensurate with age and use. There appears to be an old but skilful repair to the corner of the back of the base.
