Longcase clock by John Fernal of Wrexham
A fine oak cased clock in a typical North county case with a a painted dial by Wilson of Birmingham. It was normal by this date for makers to bye their dials by a manufacturer and Wilson was the first and most highly regarded maker.
The case is all oak with some mahogany trim and cross banding and even the swaneck pediment mouldings are in mahogany. The case is of exceptional quality and in fist class condition. With pilasters to the hood and trunk with panelled base and ogee feet. This style case was commonly used over the North west and sounding areas.
The eight day movement is in good running order and has been serviced recently.
