French Pressed Maple Snuff Box c1825

Description
A fine pressed maple snuff box titled “Venit Vidit Vicit” “Le Triomphe De Trajan”Perhaps a subtle nod to Napoleon Bonaparte after his death in 1821, with the image bearing similarities with the drawing “The Triumph of Bonaparte” by Pierre-Paul Prud’hon.
The interior is lined with tortoise shell.
French, circa 1825

Condition: Excellent. Repair to the tortoise shell interior
