Worked in silk on a partly-printed silk ground, with longitude and latitude coordinates in black and the Continents and regional boundaries in shades of blue, brown, green and red threads, entitled 'A Map of the World with its latest discoveries, worked by Mary Thompson, at York School, 1810', within a laurel wreath, a compass below, within a verre eglomise glazed and ebonised frame.
