Superb flame mahogany oval breakfast table with hand-turned legs (with cups covering the castors). Maker - C Hindley & Sons,134 Oxford Street,London. with registered no 51684. The company was a noted furniture maker receiving a Royal Warrant of Appointment and a place at the 1851 Great Exhibition. Very unusual and also rare. Provenance - ex Keddleston Hall, Derbyshire (latterly given by owner as a gift to the butler).I have owned for over 20 years personally and used as a breakfast, lunch, and dining table (it has been very much loved, and also admired)......perfect for use as any of these, or else obviously as a beautiful quality showpiece in a hall etc.
Only reluctantly selling due to house move.
