A charming oil on canvas painting of a thoroughbred horse,
"The Wren" by the Scottish artist Marion Harvey 1886-1971.

Marion Rodger Hamilton Harvey studied drawing and painting at the Glasgow School of Art, trained under Paul Artot a Belgium who taught "the living animal" She specialised in animal paintings, including dogs and horses, exhibiting extensively from 1916-1965.
