Description

A wonderful antique brooch in the form of a crest and star with bow.
It features graduating turquoise stones and complimenting pearls and a gold pin.
The brooch is stamped for 15Ct gold.

The moon crescent and star was often used in late victorian Edwardian period jewellery and was considered honeymoon jewellery. The symbol also emerged into popular use during the 19th century as a modernistic national symbol for the Ottoman Empire.

Condition - This antique brooch is clean and in good working order.
