This is a superb, large collection of twenty two, antique wading bird prints, all newly mounted and displayed in matching ebonised frames.
Each wading bird has its breed shown underneath the image.
By Benjamin Fawcett, these prints were originally from Francis Orpen Morris's British Birds book. Fawcett was one of the finest English nineteenth century woodblock colour printers and had a close working relationship with Morris, which lasted nearly 50 years and had a profound effect on British ornithology.
In great, original and bright condition.
They look spectacular mounted on mass.
